All students are required to complete a dive physical. DIT uses ADCI’s Diver Medical Form to determine physical fitness for diving. Certain conditions and symptoms may disqualify applicants. For more information, contact an Admissions Representative.

Students are encouraged to contact Bellevue HealthForce Partners Clinic at 425.468.6500, to schedule an appointment with Dr. Edmond Kay, a UHMS/ADCI certified physician. Dr. Kay is the Director of Hyperbaric Medicine for HealthForce Partners, and acting Medical Director at DIT. It is highly recommended that students schedule the physical prior to orientation to ensure that all required steps are completed in time for the student to participate in all scheduled training dives. The cost of the physical is $470.00, which also provides you with primary care for the duration of the 28 week program.

In the event that a student receives a disqualifying physical AFTER being accepted and enrolled, any and all monies paid to DIT will be refunded, except for the $100 Application Fee.
